Tom Arth, head coach of the John Carroll University’s Blue Streaks, Larry Pinto, coach of the Mayfield Heights High School’s Wildcats, and Ted Ginn, Jr., Carolina Panthers’ Super Bowl 2016 wide receiver, were honored at the third annual Coach Sam’s 2016 Draft Event.
More than 300 guests attended the benefit for Coach Sam’s Inner Circle Foundation, founded in 2009 by legendary Cleveland Browns Coach Sam Rutigliano. Its mission through its Aiming Higher program is to promote literacy, health and fitness and personal development for second- and third-grade elementary school students, Held at the DoubleTree Hotel in Beachwood, co-chairmen of the event were Kerry Rutigliano, Steve Friedman, Helene Gelb and Shawn Kennedy.
A silent auction and 50/50 raffle preceded the buffet dinner, followed by a program emceed by Kevin Kiley, sportscaster and talk show host. Russell Schneider, Ray Yanucci, Bob Golic, Tony Grossi, Jeff Schudel and Dick Ambrose participated in an informal panel discussion on the NFL Draft.
